We focus on this workers compensation action to illustrate the complexities of proving causation. In this case, a roofer injured his knee and eventually needed knee replacement. However, much time and various diagnoses later, It was still unclear the extent to which a pre-existing condition have contributed to the requirement for knee replacement. This court had to focus on the burden of proof and whether it was met in this case.
