Case Study: Marriage of Ashagari

This case study looks at an application for modification of the spousal support order. The former husband/applicant moved for modification, and after losing, appealed on a wide variety of grounds. These included changed circumstances, hardship, changes in his industry, voluntary underemployment by the ex-wife and alleged bias against him by the trial court. This case study looks at the appellate court's treatment of all of these issues, along with the ex-wife's request for attorney's fees.
